The faculty members take an interdisciplinary approach, drawing on resources across the university and within our communities. Faculty help students apply theory to real-life situations and develop the professional skills they will need to uphold justice and improve society. As part of their studies at UMass Dartmouth, students will learn about the criminal justice system's policies and procedures and analyze the nature of structural, institutional, and state violence. They will consider the causes and effects of racism, sexism, heterosexism, ageism, classism, etc.
