Animation Career Review ranks UMass Dartmouth's Illustration Program at the College of Visual & Performing Arts #2 based on academic reputation, value, and geographic location.
Animation Career Review has ranked the Illustration Program at the College of Visual & Performing Arts (CVPA) #2 among more than 140 colleges with illustration programs from across the US. The rankings are based on academic reputation, admission selectivity, depth of the program, and value as it relates to tuition and indebtedness as well as geographic location.
The CVPA’s Illustration Program includes BFA and MFA options. The BFA introduces students to specialized areas such as book illustration, character development, concept art, and documentary illustration. Students gain experience in the fundamental principles of color, composition, drawing, and rendering. The MFA program allows students to explore visual communication in a broad sense, focusing on the areas of digital media, graphic design, illustration, and photography.
