Radio program addresses the impact of COVID-19 on college students

Health promotion and policy doctoral student Anna Mullany recently hosted a series of radio programs addressing the impact of COVID-19 on undergraduate public health students that aired in April on Indigo Radio. Mullany is the host of a weekly show on Brattleboro Community Radio WVEW-LP 107.7 FM.

In the two-part series, students discuss the interruption of their semester due to the global pandemic, the challenges, racism and xenophobia, concerns for the future, how they are coping and the importance of public health. The students interviewed for the program are all enrolled in Public Health Communications, a junior year writing class taught by Mullany.

Part I includes students Nicole Kim, Cassandra Grant, Ravyn Dallaire and Brett Martini. Part II features Elizabeth Chao, Soleen Ghahraman, Nicole Pierce, Julia DiGennaro and Siobhan O'Reilly. O’Reilly also interviews Mullany in this segment.
