The University of Massachusetts President's Office is hosting a public forum to discuss the Multi-Campus Hazard Mitigation Planning Project. The forum will be held from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 in the Berkshire Conference Room, 333 South Street, Shrewsbury, MA.
The Multi-Campus Hazard Mitigation Planning Project was undertaken to help UMass campuses assess the risks University communities face from natural and manmade hazards, identify actions that can be taken to prevent damage to property and loss of life, and prioritize funding for mitigation efforts.
The Multi-Campus project is supported by a three-year grant from the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency and the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation through Federal Emergency Management Agency funding.
Representatives from Woodard & Curran, the University's partner on the project, will deliver a short presentation on the plan's development and the work that has been completed to date.
Students, faculty, staff and members of the public are invited to attend and contribute their ideas for possible inclusion in the plan.
