UMass Dining upholds commitment to sustainable plant forward and Asian-inspired menus by partnering with Pulmuone Foods USA

AMHERST, Mass. – The University of Massachusetts Amherst is partnering with Pulmuone Foods USA, a company founded by Korean food pioneers with one focus in mind: the well-being of your family and the environment.

Rooted in the principles of LOHAS (Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability), Pulmuone is working with the largest collegiate dining program in America on new menu ideation sessions, culinary training programs for staff and creating unique products made with the highest standards, while embracing cutting-edge culinary trends and earth-friendly innovations.

“The goal of the partnership is to continue to promote our mission of providing healthy, sustainable and delicious food. I think our students will welcome the variety and authenticity of these plant forward and Asian-inspired dishes while supporting our planetary health efforts.” Ken Toong, executive director of UMass Auxiliary Enterprises said.

Sustainability is a core value at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and UMass Dining has spent the last decade partnering with food producers that prioritize sourcing healthy and sustainable products. Nasoya Tofu, one of the Pulmuone Foods brands, is made locally in Ayer, Mass.
