Melissa Baker named a Favorite Business Professor by Poets & Quants

Isenberg hospitality and tourism management associate professor Melissa Baker was named a “Favorite Business Professor of the Class of 2020” by the business school ranking and analysis website Poets & Quants in May.

“While some professors make it obvious that their work is a job, Professor Baker’s approach to teaching makes it seem like less of a job and more of a passion,” graduating senior Cassandra Raffi, an accounting major, told the website. Raffi, who traveled with Baker as part of a class trip to Italy, was asked to name a favorite professor after being named one of Poets & Quants “Best and Brightest" 2020 undergraduate students, along with sport management and OIM major Davonté Higginbottom.

Raffi told the publication that Baker's teaching style made the Italy trip an “unforgettable” part of her undergraduate experience.
