Nationally Competitive Scholarships

Whether you are a current student, one who is considering applying, or an alum, you can benefit from knowing about the nationally competitive scholarships available to UMass students. Students submit applications for these scholarships through their campus scholarship representatives, who will provide students with instructions, deadlines, and advice about how best to prepare their applications. The typical timeline for these scholarships involves at least several months of preparation, so students should begin pursuing these opportunities early in their college careers. Although the process can be a rigorous one, students who apply for a nationally competitive scholarship gain important skills that they can use to further their career goals even if they do not win an award.
